In Indonesia , on May 26, the Vietnamese guests held talks with a delegation from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MOMAAF) led by Director General for Control of Marine Resources and Fisheries Syahrin Abdurrahman.

The two sides discussed plans to implement a MoU signed between MARD and MOMAAF in October 2010, cooperation in solving cases of fishing boats and fishermen seized by the two countries in line with their laws, the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and in the spirit of close cooperation among ASEAN member countries and humanitarian treatment for fishermen.
