office building for the Lao National Publishing House in Vientiane.
At a ceremony to inaugurate the building on May 17, Director of the Vietnam National Political Publishing House Nguyen Duy Hung said the new office will increase capacity and improve operations of the Lao publishing house in publishing and distributing books on the Party and Government of Laos.
It will be a sharp tool to educate people on the politics, theory, Party views and Government policies, contributing to national construction and defence, he added.
Laos’ Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Buangeun Saphouvong affirmed the new headquarters is a symbol of the special solidarity between the two Parties and two Governments.
He spoke highly of the invaluable assistance the Vietnamese Party and Government have given to Laos and his ministry in particular.
The Vietnamese-funded building has a total investment of 13.5 billion VND, and serves as working space for the staff and a place to introduce and display the publishing house’s books as well.-VNA
