The Vietnam National Chemical Corporation (Vinachem) on August 15 hosted a ceremony to attach plaque to the Donkeo medical station, its gift to residents in Nongbouk district, the Lao province of Khammouane.

The 165,000 USD station is designed to accommodate health examination and treatment rooms, a housing area for medical staff and a range of equipment.

Donkeo village is where Vinachem plans to start its rock salt exploiting and processing project worth over 522 million USD, said Director of the Viet Lao rock salt exploiting and processing company Nguyen Huy Cuong.

The district authorities, on the occasion, also promised to help Vinachem work on their project as scheduled.-VNA
