Vietnam competes at mixed team badminton event
Vietnamese badminton players began their campaign at the biennial
world mixed team badminton championship, or the Sudirman Cup 2015, which
kicked off in Guangdong , China on May 10.

The Sudirman Cup 2015 includes 35 teams, of which the top 12 will compete for the championship title and 23 remaining will be divided into groups 2, 3 or 4 based on their history.
Vietnam has been grouped in Group 3B alongside Australia , Italy and Switzerland . Vietnam plays Switzerland first in the best-of-five format.
The Vietnamese players are expected to put up a good performance and be promoted to Group 2.
The Vietnamese squad includes five male players – Nguyen Tien Minh, Pham Cao Cuong, Duong Bao Duc, Dao Manh Thang and Le Ha Anh, and five female players – Vu Thi Trang, Thai Thi Hong Gam, Pham Nhu Thao, Nguyen Thuy Linh and Nguyen Thi Sen.
The competition is good preparation for the Vietnamese badminton ahead of the Southeast Asian Games, which will kick off early next month in Singapore.-VNA
