Prague (VNA) – Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh met with Chairman of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM) of the Czech Republic Vojtech Filip on June 16 as part of her working visit to the European country.

The Vietnamese Vice President briefed the host on the recent socio-economic developments and the significant activities of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the State.

She expressed thanks for the support the Czech people have provided for Vietnam, and her wish that the host party will promote its role in the country, as well as in the continent.

For his part, KSCM Chairman, who is also Vice Chairman of the Czech Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies expressed his admiration at the achievements Vietnam has made in its renewal, particularly in international integration.

The two sides highlighted the growing relations between the two parties, contributing to forging bilateral cooperation between the two nations, particularly in economics, education and vocational training and labour.

They reached agreement on boosting relations between the two parties via delegation, experience and communication exchanges.

The two leaders also discussed a number of international issues, such as economic development, immigration crisis in Europe and disputes in the East Sea.

Previously, during a meeting with the President of the Czech – Vietnam Friendship Association Macel Wilter, the Vice President hailed the contribution the association has made to fostering friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

She expressed her hope that the association will continue working with the Embassy of Vietnam in the country and with relevant organisations to boost the development of the two countries.

Macel Wilter said the association wish to work with its chapters and Vietnamese partners to implement projects on education and vocational training and labour.-VNA
