Denmark can share its latest technologies and experiences in training workers and enhancing corporate social responsibility with Vietnam to boost trade relations between the two countries.

The statement was made by the Danish Ambassador to Vietnam , John Nielsen, at a press conference in Hanoi on March 18 to inform about the planned activities of three separate Danish business delegations, which will visit Vietnam from March 28 to April 2, 2011.

According to the Danish Embassy, the delegations will include representatives from 11 companies operating in the water supply, treatment and drainage industry, 20 garment and textile firms, and 15 pig breeders.

Denmark has been internationally acclaimed for its urban water treatment technology, while its livestock, foodstuff, garment and fashion industries have developed strongly.

The businesspeople from the North European country will visit and work with local companies in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City . They will also attend seminars on breeding pig production, animal veterinary, food safety and Vietnam-Denmark partnership in the garment-textile sector and urban water treatment.

The visits are part of activities to be organised by the Danish Embassy to mark the 40 th anniversary of Vietnam-Denmark diplomatic ties (1971-2011).The Danish Crown Prince is expected to pay an official visit to Vietnam later this year.

Since 2009, more than 100 Danish businesses have come to explore business and investment opportunities in Vietnam in various fields. At present, 125 Danish companies are operating in the Southeast Asian country./.
