A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand on May 7 visited and presented gifts to injured Vietnamese labourers at Rayong hospital, who are victims of a severe accident.

The accident occurred when a car carrying 15 Vietnamese labourers, mostly from Vietnam’s central Ha Tinh province, on their way to Chanthaburi province to extend their visas, hit the back of a lorry on May 5.

It claimed the lives of the Thai driver and two Vietnamese passengers - Phan Cong Dung, 47 and Nguyen Xuan Quoc, 27. Four other Vietnamese people were seriously injured and are being treated at the hospital.

The Vietnamese embassy and local authorities at present are coordinating to help the injured to extend their visas.

Last month, one Vietnamese labourer also died in a traffic accident on the way to extend the visa.-VNA
