The match was a disappointment for the more than 10,000 supporters, who expected some good attacks from the national team which had shown signs of improvement of late.
Turkmenistan 's goal was scored by Bayramov Vladimir at the 59 th minute of the match.
The rest of the match was controlled by Vietnam as players flooded forwards in search of an equaliser but Turkmenistan survived due to the failure of Vietnamese strikers to capitalise on the surge./.VNA
