The French Development Agency (AFD) will provide Vietnam with a total of 2.5 million EUR as non-refundable aid to support the country’s medical sector.

Two agreements to this effect were inked by Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc and AFD Director General Dov Zerah in Hanoi on May 5.

Accordingly, AFD will offer an additional 1.5 million EUR to the expertise and capacity building fund (FERC No.2) to finance future projects in Vietnam .

The aid provided by FERC No 2 is seen as an effective tool to assist central agencies, localities and associations in raising their research capacity while boosting projects combating climate change.

Another agreement worth 1 million EUR aims to provide technical assistance for Hanoi Medical University Hospital, upgrading and improving capacity and quality of patient care as well as medical training equipment./.
