The agreement was made during Deputy Auditor General of State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) Nguyen Quang Thanh’s working visit to Italian State Audit Court (SAC) in Rome from November 6-8.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed measures to boost their ties in the time to come. Vietnam wants Italy to help in audit planning, personnel training while Italy is ready to carry out joint audit cooperation on Italia’s official development assistant (ODA) projects in Vietnam .
Representatives from the SAC pledged to assist Vietnam in audit techniques and personnel training, particularly in financial responsibility judgment.
SAV is a member of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), as well as a co-founder of the ASEANSAI. The agency has so far signed cooperation deals with over 30 audit institutions around the world.-VNA
