Hanoi (VNA) – A Japanese military delegation led by Major General Katsuki Takada from the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force’s Staff Office has worked with representatives from Military Hospital 175 under Vietnam’s Defence Ministry on future cooperation between the two sides.

The two sides discussed cooperation in military medicine including the deployment of a level-2 field hospital to UN peacekeeping missions .

They agreed on exchanging experience in preparing for the deployment of a level-2 field hospital, and enhancing personnel training and technology transfer.

The Japanese delegation committed to assisting Military Hospital 175 in this field, contributing to promoting the Vietnam-Japan defence cooperation.

Last year, Military Hospital 175 signed a memorandum of understanding on medical cooperation with Japanese Okayama Saiseikai Hospital and the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia (AMDA). The collaboration covers medical research, transfer of latest medical technology, human resources training, and joint treatment for patients.-VNA
