Vietnamese firms are joining 6,800 enterprises from more than 20 countries and territories in the 18th International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair that kicked off in Chongqing, China on May 29.

This is the first time Vietnam has sent enterprises to the event, aiming to increase trade partnership, expand market and introduce Vietnamese products to Chinese southwestern localities.

According to Do Kim Lang, Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnamese firms joining the event are strong at exporting agro-forestry and handicraft products.

They have brought to the exhibition diverse products, mostly farm produce, processed products, handicrafts and wooden home decoration, he said.

The event will run until May 31.-VNA
