Vietnam, Lao armed forces work for closer ties

At the meeting, host and guest recalled the fine traditions between the two countries’ people and armed forces over the past time.
Both affirmed that the fruitful people-to-people diplomacy, especially along the Vietnam-Laos shared border, has contributed to building a border of stability, peace and friendship.
They highlighted the need for the Border Guard of Vietnam and the Lao Public Security General Department to increase the exchange of delegations as well as experience and information sharing while engaging in joint patrols to ensure political security in the border area.-VNA
