A delegation of the Commission for Mass Mobilisation of the Party Central Committee of Vietnam held talks with a delegation of the Lao Front for National Construction in Vientiane on Nov. 13.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Ha Thi Khiet, Party Central Committee’s Secretary and head of the commission, while the Lao delegation was led by the front’s President Phandouangchit Vongsa.

The two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual concerns and agreed to continue exchange experiences in mass mobilisation, and develop the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.

They agreed to coordinate in organising activities to celebrate the “Year of Friendship and Solidarity between Vietnam and Laos ” in 2012, focusing on the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic ties and 35th anniversary of the signing of the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.

The Commission for Mass Mobilisation was ready to send experts to Laos to help train personnel in mass mobilisation.

During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation was scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Lao Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone./.
