Vietnam, Laos enhance ethnic affairs exchange
A delegation of the National Assembly’s Ethnic Council led by its
Chairman K’sor Phuoc had a working session in Hanoi on May 13 with a
delegation of the Lao Committee for Ethnic Affairs to share experience
in ethnic affairs between the two sides.

During the session, both sides focused on issues relating to poverty reduction, resettlement and education policies for ethnic groups.
They discussed the work of law making and the supervision of the implementation of ethnic people-related policies.
The two sides agreed to continue sharing information and experience to help each other improve ethnic groups’ life and ensure security and order as well as put forward policies and measures to help ethnic groups in remote areas.
While in Vietnam from May 12-16, the Lao delegation is scheduled to meet NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and have working visits to the northern provinces of Cao Bang and Lang Son.-VNA
