Vietnam, Laos plan oil and gas pipeline project
Vietnam and Laos will conduct a feasibility study on a project building a
bonded warehouse and two oil and gas pipelines running from Vietnam’s
central province of Quang Binh’s Hon La island to the Lao province of
Khammouane.

A deal to this effect was signed by representatives of the Petrolimex Laos, Slovakia’s Energy Commodities company, the Association of Vietnamese Investors in Laos and Truong Thinh Corporation in Vientiane on April 25.
Once operational, the project will help Laos ensure energy security while saving costs of transporting oil and gas.
Lao Finance Minister Liane Thykeo pledged to offer all possible support to the project.-VNA
