Vietnam’s football team remain atop the Southeast Asian region, jumping nine places to the 116th position in FIFA’s April world rankings.

It is followed by Thailand (140th), Malaysia (142nd) and the Philippines (143rd).

According to the rankings, the country’s standing in Asia also rises to the 16th from the previous 17th place.

Meanwhile, Iran (No.37), Japan (world No.47), and the Republic of Korea (No.56) lead the continental table.

Spain still tops the standings, followed by Germany.

Argentina loses their third potion to Portugal after dropping three steps to the sixth.-VNA
