Vietnam, Philippine armies intensify cooperation
Vietnam’s and the Philippines’ ground forces have agreed to strengthen
exchanges, cooperate in language training and share experiences in peace keeping
and fighting terrorism, natural disasters and epidemics in the time to come.

The agreement was reached at a meeting between Lieutenant General Pham Hong Loi, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, and visiting Lieutenant General Delfin N. Bangit, Commander of the Philippine Army in Hanoi , on January 18.
The agreement aims to help intensify solidarity and mutual understandings between the two peoples and armies, for the sake of peace, cooperation and friendship in ASEAN region and in the world.
Bangit will conclude his official visit to Vietnam on January 20./.
