Moscow (VNA)Deputy Inspector General Le Thi Thuy and other Vietnamese officials have actively participated in the sixth session of the Conference of State Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) in Russia’s St. Petersburg.

The Vietnamese officials attended all plenary and consultation sessions, while making contributions to the building of important draft resolutions of the conference during the five-day event.

At the November 7 plenary session, 11 draft documents were adopted, three of them will be co-sponsored by Vietnam.

They are a St. Petersburg statement on promoting public-private partnership in the prevention of and fight against corruptions innitiated by Russia, a resolution on prevention of corruption by promoting transparent, accountable and efficient public service delivery through the application of best practices and technological innovations, and a resolution on the education and training for professionals on anti-corruption, announced the Vietnamese representatives.

They also voiced the country’s support for other resolutions as well as the launch of the second assessment process on the implementation of the UNCAC’s Chapter 2 on preventive measures and Chapter 4 on revoking assets in 2016.-VNA
