The therapy has been discovered by a Vietnamese traditional physician for 30 years to release pains through applying acupuncture without needles to special points on the patient’s face.

The workshop, that presented various techniques of facial reflexology called “Dien Chan” in Vietnamese, in Paris on November 7, drew a huge interest from the French and overseas Vietnamese.

Prof. Bui Quoc Chau, the author of the therapy, did not only make the presentation in words but also showed its effect in action. He has practised the method on several participants at the workshop to show the instant relief of pains.

“The traditional therapy has a lot of advantages, including easy practice, instant relief of pains and possible self-practice,” said the traditional physician.

The therapy has been the first choice for a large number of poor people in remote rural areas, treating some 4 million patients, mostly in humanitarian clinics.

Dien Chan has been known and practised in 35 countries through a network of 15,000 physicians. This traditional therapy of Vietnam has been officially recognised by Cuba and Mexico, which have applied it to community healthcare./.
