The Government is working out measures to ease challenges facing the property market, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tran Nam said at a ceremony to mark the 10 th founding anniversary of the Vietnam National Real Estate Association (VNREA) in Ho Chi Minh City on May 25.

Nam highlighted the Government’s credit package worth 30,000 trillion VND (1.4 billion USD), the removal of land use fees for social housing projects and house ownership for foreigners as part of efforts to rescue the market.

He said he believes that along with efforts to adjust trading and production plans, and the restructure of business operations, the property market will come alive again.

Among activities to celebrate its anniversary, VNREA held a trade fair and exhibition, a property trading session, and launched a drive to build charity houses in HCM City.
