Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has affirmed that Vietnam will do its utmost to deepen cooperation with Ecuador for the benefit and common development of the two nations.

Receiving Ecuador’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration Ricardo Patino Aroca in Hanoi on June 24, PM Dung stressed that the Vietnamese Government backs the implementation of agreements reached during the visit.

He suggested the two nations intensify the exchange of all-level delegations, support each other at international forums and strongly promote economic, trade, investment and tourism cooperation.

PM Dung expressed his hope that Ecuador will facilitate Vietnamese investment in the country, especially in telecommunications.

Vietnam stands ready to share its experience in national socio-economic development with Ecuador, said PM Dung.

Minister Aroca said his visit aims to further cement cooperation with Vietnam in various realms, particularly in economics, trade and investment.

He recommended the two sides promptly sign an economic cooperation deal and open embassies in each country to bolster bilateral and multifaceted links.

The guest said he hopes the two sides will further enhance the exchange of all-level delegations and share economic development experience.

The same day, the Ecuadorean minister was also welcomed by National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, who expressed her belief that the visit will make great contributions to the development of the friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

The Vice Chairwoman affirmed Vietnam's foreign policy of multilateralism and diversification. She said Vietnam treasures its friendship and cooperation with Latin American countries, including Ecuador .
She said she hopes the parliaments of the two countries will increase cooperation and experience exchanges both bilaterally and multilaterally.

She suggested that the Ecuadorean minister exert more efforts to seek measures to boost ties between the two countries and parliaments.

The two parliaments should increase delegation exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding and creating opportunities for legislators of both countries to share information and their experiences, she said.

In reply, Ricardo Patino Aroca applauded Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements.

He said he hopes the two sides will further their sound cooperation by effectively implementing the reached agreements in various fields, including economics, trade, agriculture, and science and technology, while strengthening cooperation in parliamentary activities.

Ricardo Patino Aroca also expressed Ecuadorean people’s love towards late President Ho Chi Minh, saying that the President is a great example for them to follow.-VNA
