Vietnam won five gold, four silver and five bronze medals, ranking second at the ASEAN Skills Competition that wrapped up in Jakarta, Indonesia on November 20.

Indonesia placed first with 19 gold medals.

The four-day competition drew 252 young workers from nine ASEAN member states, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, according to the organising board.

Vietnam will host the next event in 2014. The competition was first held in 1993.-VNA
