On July 10, the country confirmed 17 A/H1N1 flu cases more, bringing the total to 279, according to a ministry official.
All the newly-detected cases are in the south, said Head of the Health Ministry’s Preventive Medicine and Environment Department Nguyen Huy Nga.
Also by July 10, 221 patients have fully recovered and discharged from hospital.
The remaining 58 cases, including the new ones, are still in isolation and receiving medical treatment. All are reported to be in stable condition and suffering no serious complications.
The Health Ministry reaffirmed that the A/H1N1 flu epidemic has not yet shown any signs of spreading to the community, however, it requested the public stay on alert, as the risk of the disease breaking out into the community will heighten in the coming time, as students begin their new school year./.
