Vietnam Television Film Centre (VFC) and CJ E&M Pictures from the Republic of Korea, started filming a TV series called Tuoi Thanh Xuan (Forever Young) on August 10.

This is the first joint project in this field of the two countries, and is the first step in Vietnam’s plan to boost co-operation with regional partners with the aim of enhancing the country’s entertainment sector, a VFC representative said at a press briefing in Hanoi on August 8.

Two Vietnamese directors will work alongside a Korean colleague for the film, while the cast includes four Vietnamese film stars, who are Hong Dang, Viet Anh, Nha Phuong and Kim Tien.

Forever Young tells stories about the lives, dreams and choices of young people struggling with the mixed and conflicting emotions of friendship and love.

The film is expected to debut in late 2014 and will be aired at a number of Southeast Asian nations and in the US via M Channel.-VNA
