The Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK) Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation opened its fifth session in Seoul on April 15.

The two sides reviewed their cooperation in science and technology, especially in technical assistance, expert exchange, and the implementation of joint projects in bio- and nano-technology, agriculture, oceanography and scientific management.

They also discussed measures to soon implement joint science-technology development projects.

A protocol of the meeting was signed by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Quoc Thang and RoK Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technology Kim Jung-hyun under which the two sides agreed to hold the sixth session of the committee in Hanoi in 2011.

During its stay in the RoK from April 13-15, the Vietnamese delegation visited the Korea Technology Transfer Centre and the Korea Industrial Technology Association to discuss cooperation projects./.
