A delegation of 150 overseas Vietnamese youths and students from 30 countries and territories worldwide attended the closing ceremony of the Vietnam Summer Camp (VSC) 2011 in the southern province of Dong Nai on July 23.

The same day, the delegation held an exchange with war invalids and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers.

This programme offered OV youths a chance to find out about the country’s traditions, share experience in study and life as well as and improve their Vietnamese language skills through social activities in response to the Vietnam Youth Year 2011.

Deputy Foreign Minister and Head of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs Nguyen Thanh Son said that over the past time, the young people visited over 10 cities and provinces nationwide and learned about historical relics, culture, and traditions and customs of localities./.
