Vietnam’s Chinese chess team won a silver medal after beating West Malaysia 2-1 at the Asian Team Chess Championship held in the Philippines from October 23-28.

In the women’s event, player Ngo Lan Huong took home a silver medal while Nguyen Minh Nhat Quang bagged a bronze at the U18 event for men.
The Vietnamese team groups Nguyen Thanh Bao, Tran Anh Sang, Ton That Nhat Tan, Ngo Lan Huong and Nguyen Minh Nhat Quang.
