November 14 to 23.
According to Lam Quang Thanh, Vice General Director of the National Sports Administration, Vietnam will send 138 athletes to the event. He said the country is hopeful for medals in five disciplines, namely body building, Thai Muay, Jujitsu, beach petanque and kurash.
Themed “Celebrate Charming Sunshine,” ABG 2014 will take place on the most beautiful beaches of Phuket island province with the participation of 2,645 players from 42 countries and territories in Asia.
The fifth Asian Beach Games will be held in Vietnam in 2016. It will be the second time for Vietnam to host an Asia level multi- sports event.-VNA
