The organising board said on November 1 that the event will see 30 pilots from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City paragliding clubs as well as from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore take to the skiesS.
The event is a great opportunity for the sport to develop in Vietnam, it said, adding this will also enable the country to hold annual paragliding competitions in the future, making them major official events in the region.
Vietnamese pilots will be able to learn from their foreign counterparts and prepare for future paragliding tournaments around Southeast Asia and Asia .
Paragliding first came to Vietnam 10 years ago and at present, roughly 200 Vietnamese pilots take part in the sport.-VNA
