Vietnam Law Day (November 9) will be observed nationwide for the first time from November 4-10 in order to raise public sense of respecting and abiding by the Constitution and the law.

The day will take the theme “All people build, follow and defend the Constitution with the goal of a prosperous people, a strong, democratic, just and civilised country”, fully reflecting the spirit “All the State power belongs to the people” set in the Constitution.

The launch ceremony will be broadcast live from Hanoi on November 9 to mark the first adoption of the Constitution in 1946.

It is also meant to highlight the role of the Constitution and the law in State management and social life while improving the dissemination of law for all citizens, especially the basic contents of the Constitution revision.

During the days, articles and documentaries featuring law documents will appear on mass media and in activities as part of the campaign “Studying and following moral examples of President Ho Chi Minh”.

Outstanding individuals and collectives will be honoured for their contributions to building and enforcing law.-VNA
