A forum themed, “Meeting of Vietnam-UK Businesses” to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries took place in Hanoi on Nov. 18.

Co-hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the forum is expected to open new investment opportunities for Vietnamese and UK businesses.

Speaking at the forum, Vice Chairman of VCCI Hoang Van Dung said VCCI pledges to create favourable conditions in order to speed up bilateral investment cooperation between the two countries.

Peter Bishop, Vice President of LCCI, said that the UK business delegation’s visit to Vietnam aims to survey market and seek partners in the fields of labour, education and training, financial services, water and waste water treatment, healthcare, agriculture and trade.

LCCI will also facilitate business activities for the two side’s enterprises in each country, Bishop said./.
