Vietnam wins prize at ASEAN Golden Voice Festival 2011
Vietnamese singers Thu Minh and
Kasim Hoang Vu won the gold prizes for folk song at the second ASEAN
Golden Voice Festival which closed in HCM City on Jan. 8.

In pop music, gold prizes went to Sri Nazrina Hj Johari from Brunei and Hershon Silas Rieuwpassa from Indonesia.
Another Vietnamese singer, H’Zina Bya and Netta Kusumah Dewi (
Indonesia ) won silver medal for folk song category. Thu Minh and Kasim
Hoang Vu also took silvers in pop music.
Four bronze prizes were
taken by singer Fig from Brunei, Tung Lam from Vietnam, Plengpraphun
Kingthong from Thailand and Kyaw Zin Min from Myanmar.
The
three-day event saw the participation of 13 singers from Brunei,
Indonesia, Malaysian, Myanmar, the Philippines,
Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam along with two Japanese guest
singers./.
