The Vietnamese Government wishes to deepen ties with Spain, and is doing all it can to create a mutually beneficially relationship, stressed Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

PM Dung made the remark while receiving outgoing Spanish Ambassador to Vietnam Maria de la Soledad Fuentes Gomez, who paid him a visit in Hanoi on July 10 .

The PM stated that Vietnam is committed to boosting two-way trade and encouraging Spanish enterprises to invest in Vietnam .

He greatly appreciated the Ambassador’s contributions to strengthening cooperation between the two countries, especially in trade, investment education and training.

He told the Ambassador, who has been presented with the Friendship Order, that it was in recognition of her contributions to enhancing multi-faceted relations between Vietnam and Spain.

The Spanish diplomat affirmed that in any future positions she might assume, she would contribute to fostering friendship between the two countries.

She said that since 2006, when she started her term of office in Vietnam , the two countries achieved many successes in economic cooperation, trade, investment, education and training. The Spanish Embassy in Vietnam was an important bridge during this process, she noted./.
