Vietnamese enterprises need to apply more online marketing to boost their exports and seek out foreign partners, according to seminar held on December 8 in HCM City.

The seminar themed “export solutions for Vietnamese products-how to apply online marketing measures” was jointly held by the HCM City Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) and the Emerald Digital Marketing (EDM) Company in Vietnam .

On addressing the seminar, EDM’s Managing Director Nguyen Khoa Hong Thanh said, as advertising products online is becoming more and more popular around the world, Vietnamese enterprises need to consider this method to boost their development, besides using traditional marketing tools such as newspapers, radio and television.

The statistics office at the Ministry of Industry and Trade also revealed that half of the Vietnamese businesses that have started marketing online have been able to increase their export value.

In the past, HCM City has put in place many programmes and policies to help facilitate online trade promotions, according to the DoIT./.
