One hundred and twenty seven Vietnamese children will take part in the final round of the first Vietnam Beyblade Championship on Sunday at the HCM City Youth Cultural House.

Participants, aged from 6-7 and 8-11, were selected following five qualification rounds in HCM City and Hanoi. The contestants will be required to show their skills, creativity and technique through their spinning.

Winners of the two groups will represent Viet Nam with other children from Asian countries including the Republic of Korea, China, Thailand and Singapore in the Asian Beyblade Cup on August 21 in Japan.

The Beyblade spinning top, a product of Japanese company Takara Tomy, is an updated version of a traditional Asian toy that has become popular among children./.
