Vietnamese, Laos Culture Ministries boost ties

Minister Anh made the affirmation at a reception given by Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong in Vientiane on Sept. 1.
The minister, who is in Laos from August 31 to Sept. 2, said that his ministry will strive to make the two ministries’ cooperative plan for the 2012-2015 period achieve desirable results, with an immediate focus on celebrating important events in 2012 – the year of Vietnam–Laos friendship and solidarity.
PM Thongsing Thammavong welcomed the Vietnamese delegation to Laos to attend the Vietnam Cultural Week in Laos.
He said the cooperative programme that was signed between the two ministries on the morning of Sept. 1 provided an important legal framework to promote the two ministries’ cooperation, including tourism – a new feature that would help to boost the Lao economy.
He said he hoped the two sides will increase exchange of information and experience for effective bilateral cooperation./.
