Nhan dan Online said the eight-day competition will bring together nearly 700 shooters from 76 countries and territories around the world, aiming for medals in men’s and women’s rifle and pistol events.
Vietnam will send seven athletes to the tournament, including Hoang Xuan Vinh and Tran Quoc Cuong (men’s air and slow fire pistol); Bui Quang Nam, Ha Minh Thanh and Kieu Thanh (men’s rapid fire pistol); Le Thi Hoang Ngoc (women’s air and sports pistol); and Nguyen Thi Xuan (women’s three position, air rifle).
Top male marksman Xuan Vinh was crowned men’s 10m air pistol champion at another World Cup competition in Changwon, the Republic of Korea , last month with 200.8 points, taking a 0.7 point lead over the Chinese runner-up Wang Zhiwei.-VNA
