A delegation from Vietnam ’s National Assembly (NA) External Affairs Committee is visiting Laos from Feb. 29 – March 3 at the invitation of the Laotian National Assembly’s External Relations Committee.

At a Feb.29 reception for the delegation led by its Chairman Tran Van Hang, Acting Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Saysomphon Phomvihane thanked the Vietnamese people and its National Assembly for their help and assistance.

Saysomphon Phomvihane said the talk between the two NA External Relations Committees was successful and that he hopes both sides will cooperate to boost bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

He added that as bilateral investment ties are expanding strongly, both national assemblies should jointly supervise the implementation of bilateral agreements to ensure the pace of projects.

Chairman Hang said both countries will cooperate at parliamentary forums in the region and around the world and share their experiences when planning for the 7 th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting (ASEP 7) in Laos in October this year, as well as preparing for the meeting between the National Assemblies of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in the future.-VNA
