Vietnamese photographer Viet Van recently won two Honourable Mention prizes at the London International Creative Competition (LICC), reported the Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper.

Accordingly, his two photo collections “Who are we” and “War memory” were recognised in the professional photography category.

The five-photo series “Who are we”, which seeks to express the challenges that Buddhist monks have to overcome in their religious life, has also received honourable mentions at the US International Photography Awards and was published in the Spanish Dodho Magazine – one of the most influential magazines for contemporary photography.

The LICC introduces innovative artwork from passionate visual artists from around the world, which are juried by a board of internationally luminaries of the visual arts.

Viet Van, also a journalist from the Lao Dong newspaper, is the only Vietnamese national to be shortlisted for three consecutive years at the LICC.-VNA
