Berlin (VNA) - The Vietnamese film “Thanh pho khac” (Another City) will vie with 29 others in the short film category at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale).

The 25-minute long film, directed by Pham Ngoc Lan and funded by the Denmark – Vietnam Cultural Development and Exchange Fund, reflects the lives of urban habitants.

At last year’s event, the Vietnamese film entitled “Cha va con va…” (Big Father, Small Father and Other Stories), was among the 19 best films at the prestigious film festival.

Set up in 1951, the Berlinale is seen as one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals. It attracted half of million viewers last year.

This year, over 430 films will compete in 12 categories at the 11-day festival which opened on Februray 11.-VNA
