Vietnamese students with excellent academic performances were honoured at the NSW Government schools award ceremony for international students in the Australian state of New South Wales on February 28.

Three international students with outstanding results in 2012 secondary school examinations won the title of ‘most excellent students’ with test results of at least 90.Two of the three students are Vietnamese, namely Bui Trung Hieu at Cabramatta High School and Tran Dang Dinh Ang at Sydney Secondary College Blackwattle Bay Campus.

They were presented certificates of merit and awards worth 1,000 Australian dollars each by the state Governor.

The ceremony is an opportunity for local authorities to acknowledge international students’ achievements and contributions, which include raising money for charities and taking part in community activities.-VNA
