A collection of poems and prose pieces by dozens of modern Vietnamese and Thai writers just hit the bookshelves in Hanoi on August 5.

Entitled Lotus Bloom in the Stream of Literature, the book features pieces by Vietnamese writers representing three regions, including Nguyen Khoa Diem, Ta Duy Anh and Nguyen Ngoc Tu, together with those by Thai writers like Jadej Kamjorndet and Nikom Rayawa.

The book is in three languages, Vietnamese, Thai and English.

"The book marks a new development in literature cooperation between the two countries," said poet Huu Thinh, chairman of Vietnam Writers Association, "It is also a desire of writers in the two countries."

The book is in the framework of a Thailand-Vietnam cooperation literature project.-VNA
