Maison Vietnam in Toulouse (France) will organise an art performance program to raise funds to help poor children in Vietnam’s northern mountainous Dien Bien province, according to the Communist Party of Vietnam online newspaper CPV .

As part of the Vietnam – France cultural exchange year and to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the musical night will take place on April 10, 2013 in Toulouse ( France ).

Contemporary songs will be performed with the participation of famous artists popular among young Vietnamese people, including architect - songwriter Nguyen Vinh Tien, young singer Uyen Linh, and Au Nguyen Thanh Nguyen, who is an overseas Vietnamese student in France .

Singer Uyen Linh and songwriter Nguyen Vinh Tien will also sign their CDs for sale to fans.

CPV says all the money collected from the programme will help nearly 400 children in difficult circumstances in Muong Mun commune of Tuan Giao district and Muong Nhe commune of Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province.

Maison Vietnam was founded in 2007 in Toulouse city. Since then, the association has provided assistance to many Vietnamese people and students in life as well as in work and study.

In addition, the association also holds many cultural activities to promote the country and the people of Vietnam , contributing to strengthen the Vietnam – France friendship.-VNA
