Vietnam-Germany Association bridges ties

congress in Hanoi on November 3 to decide tasks for 2012-2017. It
saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
While highlighting the association’s achievements in the previous tenure, Deputy PM Phuc said he believes that in the next five years, the association will make more contributions to deepening the traditional friendship and strategic cooperation for the future sake of Vietnam and Germany .
He also asked the association to diversify its activities and incorporate them into economic, trade, education and training, exchange and tourism cooperation to promote Vietnam ’s images to German friends and vice versa.
Addressing the event, Charge Affair of the German Embassy in Vietnam , Carten Meyer said he hopes that the association will undertake a series of practical activities to promote mutual understanding between the two people.
The congress elected Dr. Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Industry and Trade, as Chairman of the Association in the 2012-17 term.
On the occasion, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations Vu Xuan Hong presented the insignia ‘for the cause of peace and friendship among nations” to some chapters of the association and individuals.-VNA
