Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Xuan Son to Russia and the Republic of Armenia on Nov. 10 presented his credentials to the Republic of Armenia ’s President Serzh Sargsyan in Armenia ’s capital city of Yerevan.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Sargsyan spoke highly of the achievements that Vietnam made in the process of national renewal and its active role in solving the regional and international issues.

He said the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Armenia creates good conditions for the two countries to strengthen multifaceted cooperative ties, with the aim of bringing mutual benefit.

The President said that the two sides should further promote political dialogue at all levels, speeding up cooperation in the field of economics, trade, education and training, tourism and culture.

Serzh Sargsyan stressed his planned visit to Vietnam in 2012 on the occasion of the 20 th anniversary of Vietnam-Armenia diplomatic ties will be a driving force to foster bilateral cooperation.

On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Xuan Son also met with Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Edvard Nalbandyan of Armenia./.
