The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) and the Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL) have affirmed their determination to boost the development of the two countries’ youth relations.

The affirmation was made by First Secretary of the HCMCYU Central Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh and his Chinese counterpart Lu Hao at a working session in Hanoi on Dec. 20. The session took place within the framework of the 12th Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting programme.

Both host and guest agreed that the two unions will increase their exchanges and jointly realise policies and common perception of the two countries’ leaders about people-to-people exchanges.

They underlined the role of youths in upholding the friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples.

The two sides spoke highly of the efficiency of the youth cadres’ training programme, the exchange of practical experience and research results and the annual organisation of the Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting, and the exchanges for youths in the border areas which, they said, have attracted the participation of thousands of the two countries’ youths./.
