Vietnamese businesses and their counterparts from Russia’s Ulyanosk province were told to promote the exchange of information to figure out the areas that they would cooperate.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh made a fact-finding tour to Ulyanosk province from April 21-23 during which he held a working session with Governor Sergei Morozov.

Dinh briefed the Governor of Vietnam’s current socio-economic development and introduced to him the country’s potential as well as its role and position in the international and regional arena.

The diplomat affirmed that the wide-ranging achievements made by Vietnam over the past years have partly been contributed by Russian friends, including Ulyanosk local people.

The Ulyanosk Governor said his province is willing to cooperate with Vietnamese partners in economy, culture, education, and information technology and will give a number of incentives to the Vietnamese community and businesses investing in the locality.

He said he supported the idea of opening a restaurant dedicated to Vietnamese cuisines and the building of some Vietnamese-styled works in Ulyanosk province.

While in the province, the Vietnamese officials attended the first International Air Transport Forum, and held working sessions with the President of Ulyanosk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Directors of the provincial Department of Immigration and the Department of Education to discuss possibilities of training cooperation./.
