Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son, Nguyen Duc Hoa, Nguyen Van Huy and Dao Thien Hai easily overcame their Taipei opponents. They will play against India in the next round.
Meanwhile, the national women's team tied with Kazakhstan . Despite having higher rankings than their rivals, Pham Le Thao Nguyen, Nguyen Thi Thanh An, Nguyen Thi Mai Hung and Hoang Thi Nhu Y could not manage to make them count.
They will next meet China 1.-VNA
