The Vietnam Nurses’ Association and Asian Human Power (AHP) of Japan has signed a cooperative agreement on training nurses and orderlies.

The agreement was reached at an April 24 seminar in Hanoi as a translation of the Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA) signed on December 25, 2008.

VJEPA, a bilateral agreement, includes commitments in trade liberalisation, investment and economic cooperation.

Accordingly, Vietnamese nurses and orderlies will be received by the Japanese side for training and have a chance to work in the country on a long-term basis.

Experts at the seminar shared experience in treatment and convalescence and introduced the working conditions as well as requirements for nurses and orderlies at Japanese clinics and hospitals.-VNA
